4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunday's event will be held at the "BLACK HILLS RAILROAD ROUNDHOUSE" in Lead. (across from the Golden Hills Resort)
This is an "exclusive" event for The Great Black Hills Quilt Escape attendee's only. We will gather in the foyer of the newly renovated Roundhouse, and proceed to the Living Map Theater. It is a forty minute program presented on a 24' x 28', 3-D map with over a thousand lights and film that offer an exciting way to experience the Black Hills Gold Rush of 1876. The Railroad Historical Center has a variety of exhibits that provide information on the first mountain narrow gauge railroad that served the Northern Black Hills.
Following the Living Map presentation we will be dining in the splendor and elegance of the Roundhouse Restaurant for a delicious Buffet.
The Roundhouse facility features the Living Map Theatre, Roundhouse Restaurant, Two Gift Shops, Antique Shop, and "Tiny Toot" the singing and talking steam engine for children.
Our Sunday event will conclude approximately 6:00 PM, and you will be free to explore Lead and Deadwood or settle into your accommodations.
