17th Annual Great Black Hills Quilt Escape

Deadwood, South Dakota! Home To The Wild, Wild West....and the The Most Fun a Quilter Can Have!!!

Check back often for Updates and News for classes, teachers and events!

This is a gathering of Friends, Family and Friends we have Yet To Meet!!

TURNING FABRIC INTO MAGIC!!

We are excited this year, as we celebrate our 17th year of quilters gathering to make “Magic”!! We arrive on Sunday with stacks of fabric in large pieces and small scraps...and by Wednesday we have transformed those fabric/quilt “wannabees”...into beautiful works of art!  Heirlooms that will be enjoyed for generations to come!  But, then...We Are Quilters.. We Create!!!

This year there is so much fun planned! We are most excited about our  teachers that have graciously agreed to come and share their knowledge, and love of this beautiful craft, called “quilting” with so many eager students!

Our “Feature Teacher” is Harriet Hargrave!  We’ve been requesting Harriet for several
years...at long last..her schedule allows her to come and be part of our “Escapee” group! She has invented the Heirloom Machine Quilting technique that is produced on your domestic sewing machine! You will be astounded to know  what masterpieces you will be able to make once you know some of the secrets. Harriet has been named “The Fairy God Mother” of machine quilting!

Our Vendor this year is Bonnie Vidick owner of the “Quilt Nook, Inc.” in Gillette, WY.
Joining Bonnie is one of her accomplished class teachers, Margaret. Bonnie will be offering patterns, items needed for class material and supply lists and extra yummy fabric  treats for sale that are ‘fat free’!!

Ila Kool and Sherry Dahlin round out our teaching staff for 2012. Both are offering
fun classes that any skill level will enjoy making. Please check out their bio’s and colored photos of the class offerings.

In addition to the classes we are scheduling some special time together with
make it and take it’s, tips, tricks and fun, and a S.O.S. event on Monday afternoon.

We are also, going to be emailing confirmations this year, to help cut down on costs. You
will receive a confirmation along with any additional information to help you get ready for our 2012 Quilt Escape!

We are excited about this year, and hope that you have ‘Saved The Date’!...
