The
Great Black Hills Quilt Escape, is embracing the flavor of a time gone
by. Trains were an integral part of the development of the Black
Hills. Supplying the area with goods and services. Lead, the gold
capital of the 1800's, depended upon the railroad and it connecting
them with several points east and west. New to Lead is the completion
of the "Black Hills Railroad Roundhouse". The extraordinary
vision of securing the history of the railroad in the Black Hills in a
easy to understand 3-D map. Please visit their website for complete
information on this wonderful asset to the northern Black Hills. Rounding out our teaching staff will be "The Gals from the Quilt Connection" in Rapid City. Co-Owner, Joan Kettlewell and Betty Opp, a member of the stores teaching staff, will be introducing us to some cutting-edge quilt patterns and techniques.
